I refuse to sink.

When I first saw this tattoo, I thought it was amazing. I loved the quote so much, I wrote it on the inside muscle of my arm in Sharpie- my mom didn’t like that idea too much. What this quote is saying is, I will not give up, I will not go to your level, I will not back down. I would love to get this as a tattoo one day- not on the inside of my arm though. I just got a shirt from XXI Forever that has the sleeves cut off and it has a black and white picture of Yoko and John Lennon on it. I love it because they are both flashing the peace sign and the peace symbol is painted on the wall behind them. I just had to get it. People like John Lennon and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. were the people who refused to sink and decided to stand up for what’s right. In the Tom Hanks movie “Forrest Gump”, the main character Forrest lives his life to the fullest after fighting in Vietnam. He refuses to sink by going out and helping the less fortunate, he joins the US Ping Pong team, opens a shrimping business, and just lives life to the fullest! Later on in the movie Forrest does sink, a tragic event occurs in Forrest’s life- I’m not going to spoil what- and so he runs away from his problems by, literally, running across the country! In the end, Forrest resurfaces from his problems, though. That’s what life is about, though; just to have fun with it. So never back down and refuse to sink.
